The idea is to separate the solar and battery so the antennae and node section can be positioned for best radio reception and the solar positioned up to 20M away if required. Jppx Hi nrta! Just a thuoght - if possible you should use a larger gauge of cable if you're extending the distance up to 20m. The resistance losses on long runs like that could be significant and limt your panel efficiency.
